Basalt is an alkaline volcanic rock with several qualities that make it ideal for fiber optic cable protection. It’s elastic, light, and strong. In addition, the Basalt Combined FIMT has a long-life guarantee and is resistant to crush and mechanical wear and tear.

A polymer sheath layer protects the basalt layer from elements like extreme temperature, further increasing the strength and lifetime of the cable without compromising its flexibility or adding additional weight.
