FIBER IN METAL TUBES

Basalt Combined FIMT

Basalt Optical Fiber Protection

Basalt is an alkaline volcanic rock with several qualities that make it ideal for fiber optic cable protection. It’s elastic, light, and strong. In addition, the Basalt Combined FIMT has a long-life guarantee and is resistant to crush and mechanical wear and tear.

The extra benefits of being lightweight and flexible make it perfect for challenging installations. A polymer sheath layer protects the basalt layer from elements like extreme temperature, further increasing the strength and lifetime of the cable without compromising its flexibility or adding additional weight.

Our basalt optical fiber protection is a durable and lightweight solution that’s perfect for the harsh surroundings of the Military & Defense Industry. Additionally, the cable performs tremendously well in Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) applications.

We approach every project with an open mindset so we can achieve the best results for you. As a result, every solution is entirely customizable, from the fiber, the shape, length, protective material, and every other component. So get in touch today and speak to one of our experts.
