OPGW: Thriving in Harsh Environments
OPGW is often subject to harsh climate conditions such as wind, ice, and rain. The 3 mm outer aluminum casting of the Thick Wall Aluminum Layered FIMT (ATT) makes it suitable for deployments in the harshest environments. A stainless-steel tube protects the optical fibers from mechanical stress. Additionally, an aluminum layer protects the steel, preventing galvanic corrosion within the cable, which is a common cause for OPGW failure.
We can produce the Thick Wall Aluminum Layered FIMT with as many as 144 fibers at 250μm or 192 fibers at 200μm. The combination of its high optical fiber count, performance, and durability makes the cable one of the most financially sound solutions on the market.
Our ability to offer custom solutions further enhance the potential of our protected OPGW to thrive in any situation. Get in touch and speak to one of our experts today to see if our customizable Thick Wall Aluminum Layered FIMT is suitable for your project.
